Redo Your Coffee-Stop

I may be stepping on some toes this morning - I know how serious coffee drinkers can be! But, bear with me friends & take encouragement from this healthy intervention!

Indulging in a coffee shop treat with a good friend can be just what the soul needs sometimes, but when we daily spoil our senses, the treat may no longer be a treat & we may just be piling on excess calories we aren't even aware of.

For example, there are 280 calories in a Starbucks Grande (16oz) Caramel Macchiato with whole milk: which includes 11 grams of fat and 33 grams of sugar.

Do you know what 33g of sugar looks like? 8 teaspoons of sugar. The daily recommended cap on sugar intake is set at 6 tsp or 25 grams for women, and 9 tsp or 37.5 grams for men.

We all know the consequences of consuming more calories than we should daily, long-term. So why not try one or more of these few simple tips to help reduce your calorie intake?
