Recovery is an important part of a fitness journey. 🏋️‍♀️ How you treat your body after your workout is as important as your workout itself. 🏃 Replenishing the nutrients your body has used during an intense routine is SO important!! 🍌🥑🥕🥬🥝🥭 Eating carbs (think, fruit+veggie smoothie or soup+salad) within 60 minutes of completing an hour or more of high-intensity exercise is perfect for refueling your body’s glycogen stores (aka muscle energy). 💪 How about body-building & weight lifting? Eating something rich in protein within 15-30 minutes after lifting can help your body build and/or repair those muscle fibers (Think, bone broth, yogurt, eggs or even a protein shake, NOT a bacon cheeseburger from the drive-thru, ya hear?!). ⛹️‍♂️ You went to the gym to build muscle and burn calories, be careful to not undo all that hard work and effort you just put in!! So when you’re ready to refuel, stay away from refined, factory-made, & sugar-laden products!! 🚴‍♂️ Part of my recovery process includes a product called AminoWise from Young Living Essential Oils - SUCH a great, clean product (free of artificials, sugars, and preservers) designed to help muscles, reduce fatigue & replenish minerals. 👌 🥛 I use one scoop of AminoWise in my YL shaker bottle with some water & occasionally some extra protein, shake away, & drink up to love on my muscles! 🙃 . . What’s in your shaker bottle? . .
